Youth With A Mission has always sought to involve young people in ministry. While much of YWAM's outreach and training indeed focuses on young people, many second-career missionaries join YWAM as well. You can find people from age 8 to 80 in YWAM, and the people we serve come from all walks of life: HIV-positive babies in South Africa, future-pastors in Asia, or short-term outreach teams in Mexico.

The Search function in this site allows you to browse through YWAM locations, outreaches, training programs, staff opportunities, and more. YWAM's guidebook, called the Go Manual, includes a printed version of this material and is updated each year.

The Discipleship Training School (DTS), YWAM's 5 or 6 month introductory training program, is offered in over 200 locations around the world. The Crossroads DTS is designed for families or people approximately 35 years old and older.

You can serve with YWAM on an outreach trip, as a student, or as a staff member or volunteer. To join as staff, you must first complete a Discipleship Training School (DTS), which is offered in over 200 locations around the world.

YWAM has no centralized application process. Although YWAM does have main offices, we encourage you to contact our field locations directly for details about applying, schedules, and costs.

To join YWAM as staff anywhere in the world, you need to have your own financial backing. Many YWAM locations help people put together a prayer and financial support team (e.g., friends, home groups, churches, relatives, etc.) before they join as staff. Most YWAM staff meet their financial needs through financial supporters while others hold an additional paying job for financial or ministry reasons. To support a YWAM staff member, click here. YWAM does not have an international administrative office that maintains a database of every YWAM staff and YWAM alumni. If you want to connect with a person in YWAM, please contact the location they work with directly or their last known location. Another avenue is to try other YWAM connect sites.
