Join Staff

YWAM staff members are involved in long-term missions, and desire to see specific goals reached in the overall task of world evangelism. Their ministry commitment in YWAM can range from two years to a lifetime. Since YWAM is expanding, the range of staff opportunities is as well.

In many of our locations, one of the joys of joining staff is to serve side by side with people from a wide variety of nations. Our staff come from numerous different Christian denominations and speak hundreds of languages. Nearly half of our staff come from "non-western" countries, such as Brazil, Korea, Indonesia, India and Nepal.

Here are a sample of the many opportunities in YWAM:
• Accountants
• Graphic Designers
• Evangelists
• Receptionists
• Administrators
• Church Planters
• Teachers
• Physicians/Nurses
• Cooks
• Carpenters
• Journalists/Editors

Discipleship Training School
The entry process into YWAM includes completion of a five to six month Discipleship Training School (DTS) or Crossroads DTS, which is offered in over 200 locations around the world. Some locations require more training depending on what field of ministry you enter into.

Salary and Benefits
Most YWAM staff meet financial needs through financial supporters, while others work as "tentmakers" (missionaries who hold a job for financial, political or ministry reasons).
