International Director - Iain Muir

East Africa was my first YWAM "home" and there I learned to bond with the people of a truly great continent. Some years later, the next "home" was South Africa and the first of several training bases was opened near Johannesburg. The following 13-year period was a steep learning curve as the work grew during that nation's internal conflict, and expanded into six neighbouring countries.

Then the call came to serve the continental work as Regional Director, and later as Field Director, which led to the exciting experience of traveling to almost every nation in Africa. Seeing a new and young generation of African leaders take responsibility across the continent was an historic privilege. My passion has always been to help younger leaders grow into their full potential for the Lord.

In 2001 I began to serve YWAM International. In 2004 the Lord brought me into "Team3" to serve in the role of International Director. Working alongside Lynn and John is a "dream team" scenario and we are hugely blessed to serve the whole family of YWAM.
