International Chairman - Lynn Green

Lynn Green is now the International Chairman for YWAM, having been appointed to this role in August 2004. Lynn and his wife Marti live at Highfield Oval, in Harpenden, England, where they have established one of the largest missions communities in Europe. They founded Youth With A Mission England in 1971, eleven years after the founding of YWAM International.

From 1971-1989 Lynn was director of YWAM in the United Kingdom; since 1989 he has served as Executive Chairman. YWAM in the UK has approximately 500 full-time staff, and six residential training centers. More than 7000 people have been trained in YWAM courses in this country, and YWAM has sent over 300 British missionaries abroad.

During his years in England, Lynn has not only developed the ministry of YWAM, but has also served other movements and organizations. This has included chairing "Challenge 2000" (the "DAWN" movement for England), and being a founder and director of the "March for Jesus." He also serves as a Trustee of CARE Trust. From 1996-99 he directed the "Reconciliation Walk," mobilizing thousands of Christians to prayerfully retrace the route of the First Crusade, helping to defuse 900 years of bitterness between Muslims, Christians and Jews. He continues to be involved in various ways in working towards reconciliation and peace.
