Overview
YWAM Lae was pioneered by David and Kathleen Tabor in 1983. The Tabors arrived in Port Moresby and traveled to Lae because of the strategic location Lae is to the 7 Highlands Provinces by road and also to Ramu and Madang in the Momase Region by road links. Lae is also a port city where the South of Morobe Province and North Coast Oro Province can is easily accessible by sea transportation from Lae. Lae is the provincial administration Head Quarters of Morobe Province's 9 Districts. YWAM Lae ministry in the city of Lae focuses on Evangelism, Training and Mercy Ministry and recently during the YWAM 60th Anniversary YWAM Lae is signed up as OBT hub in Papua New Guinea.
