Published on: April 27, 2015

YWAM workers in Nepal plus a RescueNet team of 16 are reaching out to people affected by the April 25 devastating earthquake in Nepal. If you would like to help YWAM’s workers care for Nepalis in need, please click donate now and pick “Nepal Relief” from the drop-down menu.
YWAM locations in Nepal report that all YWAM workers are okay although some property has been damaged. One of the YWAM teams in the center of Kathmandu has been helping distribute food. Tents, tarps and blankets are needed. YWAM’s leaders in Kathmandu have been liaising with organizations in the city working out how to best respond.
YWAM has about 170 workers in the city.
Nepal Building DamageYWAM Nepal has created a central fund so that teams can begin to form and reach out to the city and also to the more remote areas. They will also create a longer-term relief action plan after the immediate emergencies are taken care of.
To inquire about sending teams or for other questions, please contact YWAM Nepal.
