Overview

Summer of Sports (SOS) is an outreach training program that uses various team sports as tools to share the gospel. Athletes are trained physically as well as spiritually, then released to use their skills in an outreach setting. The program includes the first few weeks of training followed by an overseas outreach and a time of debriefing. The Summer of Sports contributes to the overall goals and objectives of YWAM in the areas of evangelizing and discipling nations by providing training in a sphere of influence that is world wide. By learning how to share biblical principles through sports as well as focusing on improving the gift of athletics, students find that they are able to meet people where they are.
