YWAM Together Kicks off In Australia

Published on: September 7, 2015

Planeloads of YWAM workers from around the world are now arriving at the Townsville, Australia airport. Across the campus of YWAM Townsville, blue and green decorations have been hung, a huge meeting area has been constructed, and people are already meeting together around tables in the warm Australia sun. They are all coming to a YWAM global staff gathering called YWAM Together. All together, event coordinators expect 1,300 delegates from 73 nations to attend.
“The global focus of Youth With A Mission in terms of gathering, and conversation, and belonging, and learning, and teaching one another is taking place in Townsville at this event,” said John Dawson, one of YWAM’s leaders.
YWAM Together will be a strategic time for networking and training and will include an emphasis on YWAM’s Ship-Equipped Ministries and the University of the Nations. Two of YWAM’s medical ships are moored in the Townsville harbor close to where the YWAM meeting is taking place.
Participants can choose from 140 seminars and discussion meetings on a variety of topics, from city ministry to business as mission.
If you are unable to attend the gathering in person we hope you can still feel part of it through joining the conversation online with social media. Our YWAM Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube channel will be sharing daily recap videos, photos, and more from the event all week. Also all the main sessions will be live streamed at www.ywamtogether.org.
Please join the conversation from wherever you are by using the hash tag #ywamtogether and #ywam.
We look forward to an incredible week and all that God is going to do!
